On the morning of February 8, 2021, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, Secretary of the Party Committee, the Rector as the head of the delegation paid a visit, expressed Tet wishes and presented gifts to Lao students studying at Hanoi University of Home Affairs who had stayed to welcome the traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Accompanying the delegation were representatives from the Faculties and Departments in the University.
Mr. Chien was kindly inquiring, encouraging and expressed his New Year greetings to Lao students.
At the meeting, he offered his encouragements and expressed his Tet wishes to Lao students. He also shared, “Currently, Covid-19 epidemic diseases has been becoming complicated in Vietnam affecting the life and travel of the people, including the HUHA undergraduates, especially in the occasion of New Year of 2021. Therefore, you all should stay in Vietnam, at Hanoi University of Home Affairs, to have New Year of 2021 celebrations. This is also an opportunity for you to have experiences and deeply feel the fine traditional cultural identities of Vietnamese people when Tet and Spring comes”.
He was presenting Tet gifts to Lao students.
On the occasion of the Vietnamese traditional Lunar New Year as well as on behalf of the Party Committee and the University Board of Directors, he expressed his gratitude to international students for their choices of Hanoi University of Home Affairs as a suitable place of studying, researching, practicing and striving. He wished they would study and research more and more to gain high academic achievements in order to return and contribute to their country.
At the same time, he called their attention to the complicated covid 19 epidemic in Vietnam and underlined that it was always necessary to uphold the spirit of epidemic prevention and well implement the 5K recommendations in epidemic prevention by the Ministry of Health of Vietnam.
On behalf of the international students studying at the Hanoi University of Home Affairs, Viengsamay Phimmavong showed her emotions and deep thanks to the staff and faculty at the University for caring and creating favorable conditions for them during their stay at the university, helping them improve their professional knowledge as well as better understand the traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year holiday.
At the same time, she wished all the faculty and students of Hanoi University of Home Affairs a peaceful, successful, overjoyed and happy year.
