On the afternoon of November 30, 2020, a seminar "E-Government in the digital age" was held at the meeting hall on the 5th floor of Library Information Center under Hanoi University of Home Affairs. Mr. Do Cong Anh, Deputy Director of Department of computerization, Ministry of Information and Communications attended and shared information with lectures and students from Hanoi University of Home Affairs.
In recent years, Vietnam has also made many efforts and achieved important initial results as a foundation in the development of e-Government such as building and putting into operation a number of important databases. Thereby, some essential online public services for businesses and citizens have been providing. Work dossiers handled in the network environment have been implemented by a number of ministries and agencies. The electronic one-door information system has been put into operation, improving the transparency and responsibility of the contingent of civil servants; thereby, it has been showed that the quality of human resources in information technology in Vietnam has also improved.

In the context of the fourth industrial revolution, when modern digital technologies have gradually changed all human behaviors and habits, from the people's daily life to the new business models of business and government operations, the concept of digital government has also appeared and being more and more mentioned.

The University held this seminar with the aim of equipping its officials, employees and students with knowledge of e-Government and its development trends in the digital age. The expert Do Cong Anh, Deputy Director of Department of Computerrization under Ministry of Information and Communications shared an overview of e-Government, the difficulties and challenges when implementing digital transformation in Vietnam, key tasks and solutions for building e-Government towards digital government, safety and security in digital conversion and so on.
At the seminar, many questions and the students' attention were presented and answered specifically by the speaker in an open and friendly spirit. The seminar took place successfully.
