Dr. Le Thanh Huyen was awarded the Knight Order of Literature and Arts by the Embassy of France

In the evening of May 4, 2021, at the Embassy of France in Vietnam, the Ceremony awarded the Knight Order of Literature and Arts to Dr. Le Thanh Huyen - Vice-Rector of Hanoi University of Home Affairs for her active dedications in the field of libraries, archives, etc. contributing to the promotion of the French language and culture in Vietnam.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nicolas Warnery, Ambassador of the French Republic to Vietnam, Mr. Etienne Rolland-Piegue - Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Activities, Mr. Béla Hégédus - Cooperation Attaché, Head of Justice and Administration Department. On the side of the Ministry of Home Affairs were Deputy Minister Trieu Van Cuong, Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang, Director of International Cooperation Department Chu Tuan Tu. On the side of Hanoi University of Home Affairs were Assoc. PhD. Nguyen Ba Chien - Rector, Assoc. PhD. Tran Dinh Thao - Chairman of the School Council.

At the ceremony, Mr. Chien expressed his pleasure to attend the ceremony of the Medal of Literature and Art, which is a great honor for PhD. Le Thanh Huyen in particular and Hanoi University of Home Affairs in general, showing the deep cooperation and interest of the Embassy of France in Vietnam with the University.
The Medal of Literature and Arts is one of the four Ministerial Medals of France, beginning to be awarded in 1957 to individuals with outstanding achievements or contributions in related fields. The title of Knight is the first of the three orders of Medal awarded by the Minister of French Culture.
Dr. Huyen always strives for the development of the Vietnam and France
Ph.D Le Thanh Huyen has got Master degree in Information Networking and Electronic Documentation in France. She had an internship at the General Department of Archives and the Old School of Far East (France). Her Scientific Ph. D. degree in Information - Library is a testament to the excellence of her study and research. Valuable experience gained during 15 years of working at the National Archives Center 1 and her scientific publications have helped her train generations of students and managers and civil servants, and at the same time clarifying activities of the Indochina library (during the French colonial period).

In 2004, she was appointed as Head of the Faculty of Culture, Information and Society. By 2018, she was appointed as Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Home Affairs. In her new position, she is a bridge to strengthen international cooperation activities between the University and France. She has been continuing to dedicate and promote her strengths to achieve much more achievements, contributing to promoting the good cooperation between the Embassy of France in Vietnam and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam in general and Hanoi University of Home Affairs in particular.
In order to recognize her contribution for the Vietnam-France cooperation, on behalf of the Minister of French Culture, Mr. Nicolas Warnery, Ambassador of France to Vietnam awarded her the Knight Order of Literature and Art.
